NYA-EVO announced as carry-on partner for Phase One’s game-changing IQ4 Camera System

Cutting edge camera bag maker NYA-EVO has teamed up with the world’s foremost equipment manufacturer in what promises to open a whole new range of possibilities for professionals and enthusiasts to take their photography further.

NYA-EVO announced it will join Phase One, the industry leader in digital medium format equipment, as its carry-on system partner for the game-changing XF IQ4 Camera System.

Jensen Pauwels, co-founder and Head of Design for NYA-EVO, said the Phase One and NYA-EVO partnership represents a merger of the best new minds in carrier-system design and construction, and world-leading technology and equipment.

“We’ve strived to create a backpack and carrier system that is as adaptable and well designed as today’s equipment,” he said. “Phase One has long been the epitome of technological advancement in camera systems and we are thrilled to be going on this journey with them.”

“Since day one, NYA-EVO’s core belief has been to never compromise on design or construction so adventurers and studio photographers – whether professional or enthusiast – can rely totally on their gear and have peace of mind in all situations.”

“There’s not a single element or inch on our bags and gear that has not been tested to meet the exacting requirements of professional photographers in the most demanding and extreme of environments.”

“Phase One and NYA-EVO’s partnership on the XF IQ4 carry-on system shows just how passionate we are about designing and constructing the best quality gear.”

The Phase One Adventure Backpack – based on the NYA-EVO Fjord 36 Adventure pack, which became the top industry standard soon after its 2017 launch – is at the forefront of carrier systems design and construction.

The compact and rugged 36-litre backpack has a lightweight T6-6061 tubular aluminium frame and is built from a highly water-resistant and durable thermoplastic polyurethane-coated nylon fabric. Its polyurethane-coated YKK® Aquaguard® zippers, ergonomically designed shoulder and waist straps, padding and quick-dry fabrics make it just as comfortable and easy-to-use as it is tough.

NYA-EVO’s Removal Camera Inserts (RCIs), for the Pelican Storm Case and the Phase One Adventure Backpack, as well as a carry-on City Bag also add an entirely new level of convenience, flexibility and protection to studio and on-location photographers’ kit.

Espen Beck, Senior Product Manager at Phase One, welcomed the partnership, saying NYA-EVO had brought a fresh perspective and renewed inspiration to the company’s Carry-On Professional and Private Enthusiast Solution Kits.

“The photographers we work with demand best-in-class solutions for studio photography and on- location tethering, and with NYA-EVO’s expertise, we believe we have met these exacting requirements, and more,” Beck said.

“At Phase One we are really thrilled to be working with NYA-EVO for our Carry-On Solution Kits. NYA- EVO have made sure we can now provide the most flexible solution to both the professional studio and on-location photographer, as well as the traveling enthusiast.”

“The combination of a soft padded Pelican Storm Case with the flexible NYA-EVO Removable Camera inserts and the Fjord 36 Backpacker, plus the carry on City-bag is the perfect fit for both the professional photographer and the private enthusiast.
